Anyone running these? Looking at a 125 for cranking and 3 50’s for trolling motor. How do they fit in BassCat aluminum trays? Running a 2014 Puma. Thanks, Ron
We don’t suggest lithium for cranking, though on trolling they should be fine.
BCB, Would you mind elaborating on why you don’t like Lithums for cranking? Not questioning you guys at all, just looking for knowledge to make a good decision. I am also looking to upgrade to Lithiums once my Pro-Guide AGM’s give way which I hope is another couple of years from now. I would prefer to go all Lithium and stay with the 3 battery setup as I have now with my 36 volt.

We found that most did not thoroughly evaluate the amperage needs for all equipment.
Thank you for responding. As I understand it you don’t trust the max power output ratings of the batteries as a cranking battery but feel o.k. about the reserve capacity ratings for trolling batteries. Good to know and I will keep that in mind when the time comes to make a change. If all goes well I should get another 2-3 years out of my 31 series AGM Pro-Guides. So far they have been flawless in all conditions and have been heavily tested in current, wind, and 12 hour long days on the water. But Boy, are they some heavy suckers. As stated many times, weight equals power and longevity in a battery.

I run the relion 50 amp batteries and really like them. Very similar to the ionics. If your interested in relions Wacky Riggers in NC has great prices and service. Bass boat technologies makes a battery tray for the 50 amps.
Just ordered an Ionic because the AGM I got with the boat just cannot handle a day of my style fishing with short runs, graphs and livewell pumps. Fingers crossed.
