Where are you located? Curious about the shipping cost to East Tenn. and method of payment you prefer, if you still have the prop.

I am going to run this same prop on my boat Saturday. My friend has one but he will not sell it. If it runs good on my boat then I will call you and get your address and get the money on the way. I am running a 23 Temp. Plus on my Sabre xr6 combo, and my motor is turning 6100 rpms. I dont think I will have a problem turning the 25, but I want to make sure first. I will get back to you as soon as possible after the trial run. Thanks for the response.

I currently have a 23 Tempest Plus and as far as the holeshot goes, you cant beat it. It comes out like a rocket and runs strong on top end also. Going to try a 25 Tempest Plus as soon as I get it and I will let you know how it does. But if holeshot is what you are after I believe the 23 would be very hard to beat.

Chris,I didnt get to try the prop Saturday. My friends son had a ballgame and he didnt get to go with me. I am going to go ahead and buy this prop from lunkercat and I will let you know how it runs as soon as I get it and run it.

I finally had a chance to try the 25 Tempest Plus on my boat. With a full tank of gas, empty livewells, one man, it was turning 6000rpms running 73 gps with a good windchop on the water. Water temp was about 48 with air temp about 46. The holeshot was still acceptable, but not as quick as the 23 Temp Plus was. I only lost about 150 rpms. I thought it would lose more but it did not. I love the way the boat drove with the new 25 prop. It will probably not see the 23 Temp back on the motor unless I have to use it for a backup. Travis

Jason,I would guess the 23 Tempest Plus would probably do the best of both worlds here for you. I have a 23 Temp and a 25 Temp that I run. If you fish with a tournament loaded boat with a buddy and his gear, I would definately choose the 23. If you do more pleasure fishing with a light load (livewells empty) the 25 might be the one to run. Most of it depends on how you plan to use the boat pleasure and light or tournament and loaded. Hope this helps you some.

Jason,I meant to mention I read your other posts and noticed you were in Knoxville, TN. I am in Athens, TN if you would like to take a ride and see for yourself which you might prefer. I have a 2003 Sabre with 150 xr6 single console. From what Ive read on this sight my motor turns a few more RPMs than the new ones seem to be getting. From what Ive read here the new xr6s average about 5600-5800 where I turn around 6000+ with mine. My home number is 423-745-6958,Travis Snyder

Good Luck with your new boat and I think you will like the 25 prop. I saw an 05 Sabre in Nichols Marine in Chattanooga with a 25 and asked them how it ran and they said it ran good and they had not even played with the motor height. If Im not mistaken the boat is still for sale at a great price. If you want to look at it go to “nicholsmarine.net” then go to their “new in stock”. It will make someone a great boat. I have seen it in person. It does not have a swingaway tongue on it though. Travis

Chris, I will send you some pics later today when I get back to my home computer. The scratches look like you took a piece of 400 grit sandpaper and lightly scraped it across the tips of the ears of the props. I must have gotten the prop into a sandbar or something and lightly scuffed it. The prop has never been reworked or anything done to it. The ears are straight with no nicks or dings. Like I said the scratches do not hurt the performance and you cant even see them until you get close to the prop. They can probably be buffed out Ive not even polished or cleaned the prop and it still looks good. Ill send you some close up pics so you can see for yourself. Travis

Chris, Yes they are just on the tips of the ears not the entire face. I will take you some close ups of the ears where the scratches are at the tips and send them to you this afternoon. Which email do I nees to send them to? Travis
