12/03/16 – KIME HANGS ON TO WIN NEW BASS CAT

MOUNTAIN HOME, AR (December 3, 2016) – Grant Kime won the 2016 Australian Bass Tour Bream Grand Final on St. George’s Basin, Sussex Inlet, New South Wales, in dramatic fashion. He took the lead on Day 1 and never looked back, holding onto the top spot for two more days to claim his first ABT Grand Final win. Kime drew stiff competition from several other local anglers, but at the end of the day, he was the last man standing in the 48 angler field to take home one of the richest prizes in ABT history, a 2017 Bass Cat Margay, Bass Cat trailer, and Mercury 115 Pro XS engine valued at over $50,000.00 AUD.

“I’m still so excited I don’t know quite what to think,” Kime said. “This is almost like a dream and I can’t thank ABT, Bass Cat Australia, and Mercury Marine enough for making this all happen.”

Bass Cat and Yar-Craft Boats’ International Sales Director, Kevin Short, and Bass Cat Australia’s Craig Simmons were on site to hand the keys over to Kime.
